I met Vance while he was promoting Dark Sky Construction in Hugo, CO. I hired Dark Sky Construction to initially put on a new roof that was damaged in a hail storm. Thanks to Vance’s keen eye he also spotted damage to one area of my siding during his initial walk through of the damage. Vance then was here with me while the insurance adjuster was completing his inspection and Vance made sure that he saw all the damage. Despite starting the work in the winter; November for the roof and December for the siding due to shortage of materials from COVID, the work was completed in a timely fashion and the site was cleaned thoroughly at the end of the day. I was very pleased with the work done and Vance was easy to work with during the entire process. I would highly recommend Dark Sky Construction for all restoration needs.

If you are looking for a 5+ roofing company to deal with, look no further. Dark Sky is an amazing team. I was referred to Dark Sky from a very good friend. My first phone call to them was to Vance. Within fifteen minutes of speaking to him he had my insurance company on the phone for our hail damage. He had a conference call with myself and the insurance company. They were both at our home within a few days to inspect the damage. We had help from Vance choosing our roofing shingles. I never expected what came next. The morning that the workers were to start on our roof they arrived promptly at 6:00 am. By 6:00 pm the same day the old tiles had been removed, the new roof on and everything cleaned up outside. It was purely amazing. The owner of Dark Sky had to help me to retrieve the check from our mortgage company. They completely gave us the run around and Jake stuck by me without getting upset. This process took many months after our roof was completed. If I ever need anything else done I would definitely contact this company. They are very professional and work with you no matter what it takes. I cannot say enough about how great this team is. Thank you Dark Sky!

Inspection
A Dark Sky Project Manager will perform a detailed inspection of your home's entire exterior and any interior damage that you bring to their attention. Then they will compile their findings and provide you with a detailed photo report, followed by recommended steps to begin the replacement process of your damaged property.
Insurance Claim Handling
If we find damage to your property we will provide you with a contact number to begin the claim process. It is highly recommended that homeowners contact their insurance company as soon as possible once damage is identified. In our experience, claim settlements are addressed in more detail and accuracy when less time has passed.
Adjuster Meeting
Within a few days of filing an insurance claim you should receive a courtesy call from the adjuster that has been assigned to your claim. At this time the adjuster will provide you with a date and time window when they will be out to inspect the damage to your property. The adjuster has been assigned the task of viewing your damaged property and providing their assessment to your carrier. A full and complete assessment is in your best interest so that all of the damages are captured during one appointment with the adjuster. It is highly recommended that you contact your Dark Sky Project Manager with the inspection date and time to assure that he/she can be present. Having the Project Manager present will ensure that all known damaged property is properly identified. We will provide a detailed scope of work to the adjuster and work with them to ensure all components are accounted for.

Design
Following the adjuster meeting you will receive a written estimate that accounts for the value and scope of damages the adjuster has found to your property. Upon receipt of this paperwork please contact your Dark Sky Project Manager to set up a time to meet with you and go over the details of this estimate. This is to verify that all damages and components are properly accounted for. If the estimate is complete we will then assist you with selecting product, colors and determining a date of installation that works best for you. We will then submit your project to our Production Department and begin the process of obtaining materials and labor.
